It's amazing how we have to be personally involved before anything really matters to us. For instance, whenever we've gotten ready to go to church and it's been raining, I have heard groans and complaints from the children about getting wet. Today, Christopher stood on the front porch, church stuff in hand, and gazed at the rain with delight! He turned to me and said, "YEA! My gourds!"
Whether it's developing a website, writing for a monthly publication, teaching your children, learning to play the piano - whatever - it doesn't really matter a whole lot until you are personally involved.
Apply that concept to church. Church and a meaningful relationship with God is much more real if you get personally involved. So what would you like to do at church to become more involved? Think about it; it really matters.
